TED REYNOLDS - MUSIC AND JAZZ

My wife Trish has a great voice and excels as a jazz singer. From the moment we arrived on the Costa del Sol, Spain we quickly got to know the musicians on the coast. One of the first was Louis Fiers, who owned the Blue Note piano bar in Fuengirola. A brilliant pianist who played with the Bill Coleman Quintet in Paris at age 18 and later shared the stage with Count Basie, Ted Heath and Bill Haley. Trish became his resident singer at the Blue Note and later at La Mirage. Their latest concert in 2011 was held at the Tamisa Hotel, Mijas costa, which included the performance of Marbella, Marbella, composed by Dario Poli. Below are paintings, drawings and sketches I made in piano bars and concert halls of musicians, who all became good friends.
